Through an ongoing cooperative agreement between Humboldt County Resource Conservation District and Department of Fish and Game, the RCD manages agricultural leases and grazing to enhance wildlife habitat on local DFG Wildlife Management Areas.  DFG is responsible for improvements and material for maintaining basic infrastructure (fences and pipes).  HCRCD advertises and selects qualified Lessees; processes all financial transactions related to the wildlife areas, and works in cooperation with lessees and DFG.  HCRCD Project Coordinator is responsible for monthly field reviews and coordinates agricultural activities.  The RCD Grazing Committee provides input and oversight on the program.
